About learning

Learning points

1Substantial English education

  • – Most of the English classes have four different levels (CEFR A1, A2, B1, B2) while others have three or two. This means we can cater to everyone from those who have very little confidence in their English ability at all to those who want to learn at an advanced level.
  • – Our curriculum is designed to help students improve the four language skills – speaking, writing, reading, listening.
  • – One-to-one lessons are available after school for those who want to learn more! (charged separately)

2Learn Korean and Chinese too

  • – These are only available at beginners’ level but there is value in taking up the challenge of being someone who wants to learn languages other than English and who wants to broaden their international outlook.

3Obtain credits from your own school through distance learning

  • – It is possible to obtain credits from your school through distance learning because there is only a one-hour time difference between Cebu and Japan. (Regulations differ depending on each university so please check with your institution.)

4Distance Learning Areas

  • – There is a room dedicated to distance learning so you can concentrate on the work at hand.

5High speed, stable internet service

  • – The university network is run by a local subsidiary of NTT, which provides high-speed stable internet.

6Allied Subjects including SDGs (Medium-term exchange course only)

  • – Allied subjects related to SDGs! Choose the fields that interest you.
  • – A Japanese speaking member of teaching staff will sit in on classes. Japanese language handouts are available for preparation and review. It is possible to learn quality English language skills even from the starting point of being unsure.
  • – Tests to check understanding are implemented regularly. Japanese speaking staff provide a supplementary tutoring system for subjects that students have difficulty with.
